Films: The Uncanny (1977)
Alias: Malkin's cats, Wellington, Scat
Type: Natural
Location: Civilized area
Height/Weight: That of average housecats.
Affiliation: Good
Summary: Cats tend to have a very on-and-off relationship with people. They're really cute and cuddly, sure, but they pack quite a punch should you piss any of them off.
History: These are the tales of a man fully convinced that cats are the spawn of the devil. The first story involves a rich woman's cats getting revenge on those who killed her out of greed, the next is about a woman practicing witchcraft to avenge the loss of her cat Wellington, and the last is about an actress' cat named Scat avenging her death by pendulum.
Notable Kills: See Final Fate.
Final Fate: Malkin's cats kill the greedy would-be inheritors, Wellington comes back to help his owner kill the perpetrator of his misfortune (via the owner shrinking her), and Scat manages to rip out the evil actor's tongue and eat it. As for the man telling these stories, he's killed by a mob of cats pushing him down the stairs.
Powers/Abilities: None
Weakness: Anything conventional.
Scariness Factor: 3-Honestly, aside from a few instances, these cats seem only to focus their efforts on proven a-holes. I wouldn't be calling that tyrannical Hellspawn any time soon.
Trivia: -Believe it or not, this film temporarily won an X rating in the UK.
-Peter Cushing was the third (and final) choice for the lead of the wraparound story.
